Chief Operating Officer
We’re looking for a qualified professional with expertise in general management, team leadership and
operational excellence strategies. The COO will support the CEO in the day to day running of the
business, annual planning/budgeting, driving performance cross functionally, leading internal
communication and championing operational excellence. As the senior member of an executive
leadership team including Vice Presidents for Field Operations and Marketing, and direct reports
spanning critical administration and growth functions, this leader will be a champion for performance,
clarity, solutions, orchestrated execution and ongoing planning.
C12 is a “sophisticated small business with a lot of Kingdom Torque” as we like to say. Less than 30
employees, but supporting a global field organization quickly approaching 200 and with customer
operations spanning 4 continents with members impacting millions of people through their businesses
every month. The COO will play a key role in our continued rapid growth, international expansion and
scaling of systems and strategies.
- Deep alignment with our Christian, faith-based Mission, Vision and Values
- At least 10 years of experience in executive level management of business operations and
- General management / business acumen, including finance, technology, administration, legal, strategic planning and enterprise budgeting with P&L responsibility
- Relevant experience in either franchise systems, distribution networks, national/international agencies, and supporting distributed teams and customers
- Experience with businesses involving printing, publishing, content development, IP development and products with an executive/professional customer/audience a plus
- Experience leading in a matrixed environment with cross-functional accountability, high
collaboration and healthily leading in the tension of committed internal stakeholders
- Collaborative, effective at working with internal and external stakeholder groups for both
determining needs and facilitating effective change management
- Competency in leading high-performance teams and cultivating flourishing cultures where how
we win and the people are part of winning
- Excellent communication skills, written, verbal and presentation skills/li>
- Education: degrees in business, finance, or related field preferred, graduate education (MBA)
desired but not required
- Familiarity with the faith/work integration, vocational discipleship, and missional business arena
of ideas and praxis associated
- A passion for the mission, vision and opportunity at stake. Spiritual maturity to champion strong
teams, missional culture and vision execution.
- Results-oriented planning, able to brief executive management and customers on trends,
developments and recommended strategies aligning scorecards to objectives
- Entrepreneurial leader with drive to orchestrate operational excellence in a high growth
environment and collaborative leadership culture with blend of player/coach dynamics
