VP of Marketing

We’re looking for a qualified professional with expertise in marketing leadership and multi-channel strategies with a desire to help scale a global platform of missional impact. As the leader for marketing, this person will drive brand strategy, market intelligence, and franchisee/Chair enablement via marketing platforms, drive innovation of lead generation systems and provide integrated, directional leadership across an array of content and experiential products.
C12 has marketing channels for Chair recruitment, Chair enablement, Membership lead generation, ecommerce, event promotion, and thought leadership within the industry. A diverse set of mediums are deployed, including digital (web/SEO/social), content-based demand generation, video assets and consumer advocacy marketing programs requiring orchestration to achieve market objectives.
The position is on-site in San Antonio, TX, in a hybrid work environment. Travel is anticipated at <15%. This leader will have director and manager level direct-reports with additional bench depth represented by a combination of employees, contractors and third-party partners fulfilling key execution including areas like graphic design, SEO, campaign administration, content and video production, and the like.
Job Requirements and/or Preferences
- Experience leading multi-disciplinary teams on marketing strategy, leveraging content, digital/SEO, video and blend of mediums and channels
- Proven experience in brand management and strategy
- At least 10 years of management/people leadership experience
- P&L responsibility and marketing strategy acumen
- Experience developing and implementing marketing plans with data-driven programs to achieve intended results and inform investments
- Preferred experience with multi-unit, franchise network environment or equivalent dynamic contexts for marketing
- Collaborative, effective at working with internal and external stakeholder groups for both determining needs and facilitating effective deployment of campaigns (change management)
- Project management and product development expertise, including product lifecycle, change management, and effective stakeholder engagement for enterprise deployments
- Competency in leading high-performance teams
- Excellent communication skills, written, verbal and presentation skills
- Education: degrees in business, marketing, PR/communications, or related field preferred, graduate education desired but not required
- Familiarity with the faith/work integration, vocational discipleship, and missional business arena of ideas and praxis associated
- A passion for the mission and vision and opportunity at stake
- Results-oriented planning, able to brief executive management and customers on trends, developments and recommended strategies aligning scorecards to objectives
- Entrepreneurial leader with drive to orchestrate operational excellence in a high growth environment and collaborative leadership culture with blend of player/coach dynamics
