JAMIE SHEDDEN
Territory Served
Jamie is a Southwest Florida native, raised in a loving Christian home with Parents that were active in their Church and owned a construction business. Jamie learned a strong work ethic as a child that carried on into his later career as a small business owner and an industry leader in a mission based social enterprise.
Today, Jamie has been in leadership for more than 30 years, beginning as the manager of a Christian Bookstore in July of 1991. In 1993 Jamie purchased the store, renamed it Heavenbound Books, Music and More and operated the store for 12 years. During this time, Jamie was awarded a top five position of Christian Bookstore Managers in the United States. In 2005, Jamie sold Heavenbound and went to work with a Southwest Florida Mission St. Matthew’s House, as the manager of their one thrift store. Over the next 17 years Jamie grew the St. Matthew’s House thrift operation from one store with annual gross sales of less than $500,000 to seven stores with annual gross sales exceeding $10,000,000. The revenue generated by these stores pay 100% of the administrative expenses at St. Matthew’s House. The thrift stores are widely regarded as the best thrift stores in the United States. In 2013, Jamie became a member of C12 as a Key Player. Over the next eight years Jamie’s passion for leadership and team building increased greatly. Already having a studious mind set from 12 years in the Christian bookstore market Jamie thrived on the material provided by C12 and the input from the rest of the members around the C12 table. In 2021 Jamie and his wife Mila felt God’s call for him to pursue a chair position with C12 of Southwest Florida. Jamie leaves in place what he believes is the finest team of leaders ever assembled; men and women of integrity with the high calling of building a successful business with a greater purpose.
When Jamie isn’t involved in business, he loves to spend time with the love of his life, Mila, their four children, and their church family. As a young man Jamie played guitar in several Christian bands doing street ministry. This experience solidified Jamie’s love for mission work.
