JOHN HEENEY

John Heeney was born and raised in Ingersoll, Ontario, Canada, where he still proudly calls home. Rooted in the close-knit rhythms of rural life, John grew up on a dairy farm—a foundation that shaped his work ethic, resilience, and lifelong connection to agriculture. He has been married to his wife, Dorli, for 30 years, and together they have raised four children—three daughters and one son—now all thriving in their twenties.

John earned his degree from the University of Guelph, studying Animal Science and Agricultural Business. His early career took shape in the agricultural sector, where he spent 18 successful years with Grand Valley Fortifiers as a Dairy Consultant. Known for his expertise, integrity, and relationship-driven approach, John built a strong reputation helping farmers grow healthier herds and more sustainable operations.

In addition to consulting, John returned to his roots as the owner and operator of his family’s dairy farm. Under his leadership, the farm grew fivefold and became a thriving enterprise before being successfully sold in 2014. This milestone marked a major transition, opening the door to a new chapter in real estate development. Over the next 14 years, John became a residential real estate developer, building a multimillion-dollar portfolio and gaining deep experience in land development, investment strategy, and business operations.

John’s entrepreneurial journey expanded further as he built and sold a business, launched a real estate mentorship program, and established himself as a sought-after speaker and mentor. His passion for coaching also extends beyond business—he is an accomplished volleyball coach, investing in the growth, discipline, and character of young athletes.

Like many leaders who have navigated bold ventures, John has faced significant challenges. He weathered the hardships of a real estate lending business that required immense grit and perseverance. Those experiences—both the mountaintop successes and the valleys—have shaped his commitment to rebuilding a career grounded in his dual passions: business excellence and ministry. A follower of Jesus, John sees business as a powerful form of ministry, believing that leadership, integrity, and service carry spiritual significance.

Away from work, John enjoys staying connected with his community, investing in meaningful relationships, and living a life marked by gratitude and service. He values authenticity, strong family ties, and the simple, grounding rhythms that keep life balanced.
