Samuel started his corporate career in the banking sector. In 1994, he went into a business partnership in product distribution. However, the Asian Financial Crisis struck and the business was dissolved. Subsequently, he joined a multinational flavor company as a Regional Manager (Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand and Vietnam). He was also the Department Head for Jebsen Jessen Ingredients (M) Sdn Bhd (2010-2018).

Today, Samuel worships at Damansara Utama Methodist Church (DUMC) and is actively involved in Mentoring, Bible Study and Premarital Counseling. He is currently also pursuing a Master in Theology at AGST Alliance.
