Prior to joining C12, Tom Rivers served as Vice President Global Marketing, Automotive at HARMAN International a Samsung Company, where he leveraged 35 years of experience in defining, developing, executing, and steering domestic and global marketing initiatives. He has a passion for innovation and customer-centricity, and lead with a vision to transform the automotive industry with connected car and cloud services solutions.

He led the global consolidation of marketing organizations to One Global Team, inclusive of Car Audio, Connected Services, and Connected Car Technologies. He also led the sales enablement process to link product roadmap that maps to harmonized marketing/coms plan.

Tom’s background also includes experience in marketing, sales management, product strategy and account management at Ford Motor Company, IAG Research and The Nielsen Company. Throughout Tom’s career, he has been a sought-after coach and mentor for programs at each of the companies he worked at. 

Additionally, Tom actively served on the board of Oak Pointe Church (Novi Michigan) as an Elder for 7 years and Senior Pastor Succession Planning Committee. He also serves as Strategic Advisor for Ayaka Hope a Non-Profit Organization dedicated to providing quality educational opportunities for children in South Sudan.

Tom lives in Northville Michigan with his wife Kathleen of 28 years. They have 2 children, Courtney and Trent. Tom’s life verse is, Hebrews 12:1-2 Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.
