It can be lonely at the top, but it doesn’t have to be.

We know leaders limit their potential when they lead from isolation. But, when surrounded by trusted advisors with a common goal and a biblical worldview, they can maximize performance and energize cultures. With faith as the foundation, this powerful group of peers meet in an exclusive, confidential forums around Des Moines and surrounding cities to have their questions answered and their answers questioned.

LUKE VAN WYK

One member of C12 Central Iowa states, “Our group would not be what it is without Luke’s leadership. He has a rare combination of a very deep understanding of business and a strong sense of what it means to be a follower of Jesus. He continually challenges us to work hard to reconcile the two. I would not be where I am today in business without Luke.” Luke was born and raised on the fertile soil of a family farming operation in south central Iowa. This produced in him deep roots of faith, integrity, a strong work ethic, and an entrepreneurial spirit. When the farm economy got tough in the mid-’90s, the family turned to manufacturing to help make ends meet. The venture quickly expanded to a full-time endeavor. For 20 years Luke played an integral role in leading the business to pioneer innovative equipment solutions in agricultural and industrial markets. He served in several senior leadership roles as the business grew from a family-owned start-up into a thriving and sustainable medium-sized business. Luke spent 10 years in a high performing peer executive group and has a great appreciation for the value they bring. He receives the opportunity to serve as the Principal Chair for C12 Central Iowa as a direct call from God. He has a passion for servant-hearted business leadership and a commitment to faithfully steward the resources and opportunities that have been entrusted to him. Luke’s life-long mission is to help people discover their identity and purpose in Christ. He has been married to his wife Jean for nearly two decades. Together they are raising three daughters and a son. Luke and Jean share a passion for the word of God and take delight in the daily opportunity to walk obediently with the Holy Spirit. They are actively engaged at Federated Fellowship Church in Pella where Luke currently serves on the Men’s Ministry Leadership team. Both are also involved with Fellowship of the Sword, a ministry that facilitates Quest events, helping followers of Jesus to uncover truth, unlock identity, and unleash passion.

I hired at least half a dozen mentors or business coaches over the years before joining C12. None of them gave me the depth of insight, relationship, and counsel that this group has. I’m a better business owner, spouse, parent, and person because of the time I’ve spent with my C12 group.

Being a part of C12 has helped me to grow as a spiritual leader in our business. Prior to joining I had thoughts on how I could make our business more of a ministry. By being a part of this group, I have gained the confidence and encouragement I needed to move forward, along with new ideas for incorporating ministry in our business.
