It can be lonely at the top, but it doesn’t have to be.

We know leaders limit their potential when they lead from isolation. But, when surrounded by trusted advisors with a common goal and a biblical worldview, they can maximize performance and energize cultures. With faith as the foundation, this powerful group of peers meet in an exclusive, confidential forums to have their questions answered and their answers questioned.

Prior to being called to be the Managing Chair, Bob was a charter member of the C12 Group here in Memphis. Bob brings over 25 years of experience from a broad range of businesses, leadership experiences and varying industries, including telecommunications, third party logistics, staffing, etc. Prior to becoming a Chair with C12, Bob spent 11 years managing a portfolio company held by a PENSKE managed private equity firm. Bob and his family relocated to Memphis from the San Francisco area in 1993 to manage a region for WorldCom, which is now known as Verizon. Bob’s family loves the Memphis area and its people, and unless God needs them somewhere else, they intend to spend their remaining days here. By God’s grace Bob has been married to his best friend Laurie since 1990 and they have two adult children, a son-in-law, and one grandchild. Bob has been active in two church communities, Servants of Christ (SOC) since 2000 and Harvest Church since 2017. The ministry has been focused primarily in Uganda. Bob has also served on many Kairos Prison Ministry teams and teaching at West Tennessee State Penitentiary. This bio is only possible with God’s grace and provision. Nothing in this bio is because of Bob’s talent, expertise, knowledge, or gifts; all of this is because of the one who lives in Bob. God has been faithful to Bob even when Bob wasn’t. Contact Bob today to find out more on how God showed up in his business and marriage, as a C12 member and as Chairman.

JONATHAN TORRES

Jonathan Torres, more affectionately known as “Torres”, most recently served as CEO at Frase Protection Inc., a local residential and commercial security company, responsible for leading and growing the business to make Memphis a safer place to live, work, and play. The business has over 20 employees with an annual revenue exceeding $6M. Under Torres’ leadership, the business was recognized as Memphis Business Journal’s Small Business of the Year in 2024 and successfully led the business through an acquisition. Torres’ background also includes experience as the CEO with Memphis Athletic Ministries and with more than two decades of ministry experience in sharing the gospel with youth in the inner-city in under-resourced communities and impacting the lives of countless families. Throughout Torres’ career, he has been a sought-after coach and mentor in the area of strategic planning, discipleship, organizational leadership, and community engagement.  Additionally, Torres actively serves on the board of various non-profit organizations including Collierville Young Life, sharing the gospel with youth in the community, and Believe Memphis Academy, a local K-8 charter school. Torres has also served as a founding board member of Restore Corps, a non-profit fighting human-trafficking and providing resources to human-trafficking survivors. He has served as an elder of Harvest Church and as an elder in planting a church, Eastside Community Church. Torres also advised the City of Memphis Mayor Paul Young by serving on his transition team when taking office in 2024. Torres lives in Memphis with his wife of 20 years, Janna. They have 3 daughters, Jaidyn(17), Jazlyn(15) and Joia(11) and their yorkipoo, Mando. When not working, Torres enjoys playing soccer with his wife and staying active through working out and being outdoors. Their family famously hosts “Taco Night”, a weekly gathering open to the community and friends while sharing tacos for over 12 years, which deepens relationships and invites and welcomes all.  Torres’ life verse is, Ephesians 4:12, “equip the saints for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ,”. Torres embodies this verse through the equipping of others into the full purposes God has created for them.

“C12 is everything I was looking for and more of what I didn’t know I needed. My peers challenge me in my blind spots, love me in hard times, and encourage me to glorify God in the way I lead my team. It’s a home for business leaders.”
